OUR MILLS
-
MANTECO
For over a decade, Boden has collaborated
with the development team at Manteco, the
renowned Italian textile mill in Prato, that has
pioneered the sustainable use of recycled wool.
This long-standing partnership has enabled us
to co-create exclusive, premium fabrics that
reflect Boden’s design vision. -
MOON
Founded in Yorkshire in 1837, the Moon

character and quality on a single site –
where they control every part of the
production process. Johnnie Boden and
his design team have collaborated with
Moon’s skilled craftsmen for over 20
years to create beautiful, bespoke
fabrics. -
TUNG GA
We source our womenswear linen from
the Tung Ga mill which produces linen
from the European Flax we source from
France and Belgium. The mill is vertically
integrated and manages spinning,
weaving, plus production of garments.
The linen Tung Ga makes for us contains
20% recycled linen fibres. -
BHASKAR
Since our first yarn spinning trials in the 1990s,

As a key employer in the area, the management
are committed to creating the best working
environment they can. We value their openness
to projects and their beautiful workmanship.

TRADING ETHICALLY
When we start working with a new supplier they sign our Responsible Sourcing Commitment, which sets out our expectations of working conditions. We have a team dedicated to working with our suppliers to ensure products made for Boden are responsibly sourced. We also visit factories in person to make sure our standards are being met. Our programme is constantly evolving, but it’s centred on the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code, an internationally recognised set of labour standards based on the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions.

SUPPORTING PEOPLE IN OUR SUPPLY CHAIN
We continue to partner with &Wider, an organisation which is improving conditions in global supply chains by giving workers an avenue to anonymously raise issues. We’re pleased that 27 of our suppliers’ manufacturing sites are now onboard and there’s potential for greater participation in the future
We began our partnership with RISE (formerly known as the HerProject) in 2014 to educate the women in our workforce about nutrition and health. Knowledge is shared through peer-led training and spread beyond co-workers and the factory walls to family members and friends living in local communities.
We rolled out another RISE (Reimagining Industry to Support Equality) project in India recently and will have a total of 19 participating sites by the end of 2025. So far 10,972 workers have benefitted from this education programme, with 480 training to become peer educators.

OUR TEAM
Taking care of our team at Boden
With our strategy to ‘grow our business, grow our people’ in mind, we’re nurturing our team with a calendar of initiatives that aims to motivate and inspire. Learning and development is a key focus and we’re proud to offer a truly competitive (and ever-growing) library of opportunities for employees at every level. We want our team members to feel as supported as possible, so we offer a variety of nuanced channels for sharing concerns and feedback, including an Employee Forum, a dedicated ‘Belonging at Boden’ D&I team, and a bi-annual engagement survey.
Because we don’t take ourselves too seriously, we also find time to enjoy summer parties, volunteering days, ice cream vans and yoga classes. And there’s also our unrivalled staff clothing allowance…
